Our Story
Jewels of Grace was born from a deeply personal experience that changed the way our founder, Tanisha Bennett, viewed homelessness and the challenges families can face when life suddenly changes.
After witnessing a family member experience homelessness, Tanisha saw first hand the uncertainty of not knowing where to go or who to turn to for help. The experience revealed how overwhelming it can be for families to navigate crisis while searching for safe housing, food, and dependable resources.
What began as a difficult family experience became a purpose. Tanisha founded Jewels of Grace to help women and children facing hardship access compassionate support, essential resources, nourishment, and connections to housing assistance.
Today, Jewels of Grace is working toward a greater vision: creating a safe haven where mothers and children can find stability, rebuild with dignity, and move forward with hope.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to serve women and children experiencing difficult life circumstances by helping address immediate needs while creating pathways toward greater stability. Through access to food, housing resources, community support, and trusted services, Jewels of Grace works to help families overcome barriers and build a stronger foundation for their future.

Our vision is to create a safe and welcoming haven where mothers and children facing difficult circumstances can find stability, essential resources, and the support needed to begin again. We envision a future where families have access to secure housing, nutritious food, supportive services, and opportunities that help them become self sufficient and build lasting stability for themselves and their children.
